Job Description
Job Title: IT Director
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt – 12 month position
Salary Grade: 12A ($88,781-$110,977-$133,174/yr.

SUMMARY
Plans directs and manages the Information Technology Department in order to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future decision-making requirements. The IT Director provides organization-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for technology by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.

Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization including organizational websites and facebook pages.

Develops, implements, and monitors technology information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.

Provides support to end-users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of applications and hardware.

Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.

Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.

Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.

Develops and maintains the IT budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 2 to 4 employees in the IT Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university in computer science or related field (M.S. preferred); and one to two years of computer experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Experience in implementing hardware/software projects.

Broad knowledge of technical support in a Google, current Windows desktop and server operating systems, iOS, and Android environment.

Experience implementing computer support policies and procedures.

Knowledge of educational use of computers in K-12 school system.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to communicate technical issues to senior-level management and non-technical users.

Excellent supervisory skills.

Commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Native American education.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Google or Microsoft Certifications preferred.
Valid Montana drivers license.
